Wonderful Winter Warming Salmon Recipe
As the weather falls into winter we decided to share this wonderful warming salmon recipe with you.
PS - This recipe won the International Rivers Day Salmon Cook-Off!
Ron & Gene's Secret Ginger Salmon
1 salmon fillet
1 cup chopped green onions
2 tbsp grated fresh ginger
1/2 cup soy sauce, braggs or tamari
2/3 cup peanut oil
Bake plain salmon fillet until the top is almost cooked, but not quite (3/4 cooked). In a small sauce pan, heat peanut oil until smoking hot (it will literally smoke). Sprinkle onions and ginger evenly across top of partially cooked fillet. Pour soy sauce over entire surface and then follow with hot peanut oil. The hot peanut oil finished the cooking process and sears in the flavour. Serve immediately.
We like to serve this recipe with salmon because the peanut oil, ginger and soy sauce make for a lovely topping on the rice.
Please note - we have already taken considerable flack for releasing this secret recipe but it's just too damn good not to share with the world!!
