Date and time: Sat, August 15, 2009 - 12:00 pm
City/Town: Port Edward & Prince Rupert
Venue: North Pacific Cannery & The Nisga'a Hall
Description:
Ali and the swim team will make the final landing of their historic journey down the entire length of the Skeena river at the North Pacific Cannery in Port Edward at noon. A celebration with food, stories, and merrymaking will take place throughout the afternoon. Please join us as Ali and the Swim team breath a giant sigh of relief. The party will then move to the Nisga’a Hall in Prince Rupert at 7:30pm for a evening family event featuring lots of grub and a live rocking concert by Los Gringos Salvajes of Smithers and northern BC’s one and only female rock star Rachelle Van Zanten.
Carpooling is recommended as there is limited space at the cannery.
Shuttles will run from the Port Edward end of Skeena Drive at 10:30am and 11:30 am or Prince Rupert transit runs twice a day out to the cannery.
Please note: there is no take out for boats at the North Pacific Cannery.
