Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition and Friends of Wild Salmon have initiated a resolution calling on the BC government to immediately end Shell’s drilling activities in the Sacred Headwaters and engage in meaningful consultation with Northwest BC residents.
Current signatories to this resolution include the City of Prince Rupert, Town of Smithers, Villages of Hazelton and New Hazelton, Regional Districts of Kitimat-Stikine and Skeena-Queen Charlotte, Gitanmaax Band Council, Lax’kwalaams Band Council, Aiyansh Band Council, Gitxsan Hereditary Chiefs, and the Union of Fishermen and Allied Workers.
